<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embed a code column in a recording medium by using the difference of optical characteristics between two recording materials. <P>SOLUTION: This image generation device is provided with: an identification code generation part 11 for generating an identification code; a position code generation part 12 for generating a position code; an additional code generation part 13 for generation an additional code; a block composition part 14 for generating a first code array for first recording materials for arranging dots at n places associated with the code column configuring the identification codes or the position codes and a second code array for second recording materials for arranging dots at k places (excluding the n places) associated with the code column configuring the additional code; a pattern image storage part 15 for storing a unit code pattern configured by arranging the dots at the n places selected from the m places; and a code image generation part 16 for generating a code image by arranging unit code patterns so that the dots can be recorded according to the code array. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
