PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine that makes it possible to accurately input a facsimile number not with a ten-key pad anywhere, for example, at a visiting place for business, the storefront of a convenience store, or the like. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine is provided with a document read means of reading a document to generate image data, a screen read means of reading the screen of an information terminal device, a recognition means of recognizing a character string on the read screen, a setting means of setting a number string included in the recognized character string as a facsimile number of a destination of transmission, and a transmission means of transmitting the image data to the destination of the facsimile number set by the setting means.
