PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical control method for automatically starting an electronically operated hydraulic amplifier (by a computer control device) in the event of a failure, whereas a hydraulic amplifier is typically electronically controlled when applied to control of a servo motor for operating a hydraulic power generation turbine. SOLUTION: A closed loop servo motor control device which is manually operated as a redundant control device (e.g., backup mechanical controller) uses a control input (e.g., a manually adjustable setting point) and a feedback input from a servo motor.
