PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat aging resistance of a vulcanized rubber without lowering adhesiveness between a rubber and a metal. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of at least one kind of a sulfur-vulcanizable diene-based rubber, (B) 0.05-1 pt.wt. (calculated as cobalt element) of an organic acid cobalt salt and (C) 0.1-20 pts.wt. of an organic sulfide compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R is a substituted or nonsubstituted 2-20C alkylene group or oxyalkylene group; n is a number of 1-20).
