<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encryption device having an improved function of preventing an encryption key from being deciphered through consumption current analysis by making it difficult to align a consumption current waveform. <P>SOLUTION: The encryption device comprises a clock control circuit 3 which is configured to input a clock signal CLK and a pseudo-random number and performs suspend processing and resume processing for the clock signal CLK based upon the pseudo-random number to generate a ciphering processor clock signal CCLK, a ciphering processor 2 which performs ciphering processing for data to be ciphered in synchronism with the ciphering processor clock signal, and a current control circuit 4 which acquires an operation state S indicating the operation state of the ciphering processor 2 and adjusts current consumption according to the operation state S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
