<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding position route search system, when a pedestrian moves by taxi, allowing to guide its riding position so that the pedestrian can select an advantageous route to a destination. <P>SOLUTION: The route server 30 comprises a searching network data 35 including road network data and pedestrian network data, a route search means 33, a link extraction means 39, and a riding position information creation means 40. The link extraction means 39, on the basis of a starting point received from a riding position guidance terminal 20, specifies a road on the road network data of which the distance from the position of the starting position is within a predetermined range and extracts links of the road. The route search means 33 searches for a route to the destination with the links extracted by the link extraction means 39 set as a starting link, and determines a recommended route for each starting link, respectively.
