PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase easily the battery capacity, without having to replace a battery pack installed beforehand. SOLUTION: A first battery pack 1 is housed in a housing part 31 of a case 3, and an electrode terminal of a portable electronic equipment 10 and an equipment connection electrode terminal 11 of the first battery pack 1 are in contact and connected electrically. A second battery pack 2 is inserted by sliding so as to move along to a guide 42 of a cover 4, and the second battery pack 2 is made to slide until the rear end of a projection 22 reaches the rear end of a groove 41 and then connected to the cover 4. The case 3 in which the first battery pack 1 is installed and the cover 4 to which the second battery pack 2 is connected are engaged insertingly. At this time, by making the upper face of the first battery pack 1 and the upper face of the second battery pack 22 come into contact and the pack connecting electrode terminal 12 of the first battery pack 1 and the pack connecting electrode terminal 21 of the second battery pack come into contact, the first battery pack 1 and the second battery pack 2 are parallel-connected.
