PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature of a DC motor which can improve rectification and can enhance motor performance in a three-phase DC motor, having the number of segments which is double the number of slots, and to provide the DC motor and an armature winding method for the DC motor. SOLUTION: Each tooth 9 comprises a first coil 33, which is electrically connected between the adjacent segments 14 and is wound on the tooth in the forward direction, and a second coil 34 which is electrically connected between the other adjacent segments 14 and wound to the tooth in the reverse direction. Relative positions of the segment connected, with the winding start end 30 of the first coil 33 and the segment connected with the winding start end 30 of the second coil 34, correspond to relative positions of a pair of brushes 21, 21.
