PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wallpaper-backing paper which maintains a characteristic dimensional stability/gravure printing suitability of yankee paper, improves the prevention of resin leakage, when coated with a polyvinyl chloride/olefin resin or the like, and has an excellent surface property. SOLUTION: This wallpaper-backing paper used for wallpaper having a resin-coated layer is characterized by containing a dryer adhesive and being produced with a paper machine equipped with a yankee dryer. The wallpaper-backing paper preferably has a glossy surface average roughness (Ra) of 1.5 to 3.0μm defined by JIS B 0601, and a glossy surface smoothness of 30 to 60 seconds defined by JIS P 8119. The dryer adhesive is preferably a polyamide epichlorohydrin resin containing phosphoric acid or a polyamide epichlorohydrin resin having a pH of 5 or more. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
