PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively restrain a falling water sound and a waving sound, with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This falling water sound/water flow damping structure 2 of a water area has a waterway 5 and a raft body 10 installed on the upper end 6A of a step height part 6 of this waterway. The raft body 10 is constituted by being connected by ropes 15A and 15B, by arranging a spacer 16 between square column materials 13, by horizontally juxtaposing the square column materials 13 forming a flat surface 11 on an upper surface, by adjusting through-holes 12A and 12B. The raft body 10 is formed with a void S on an upper surface 10A by the spacer 16. A falling water flow W1 from the upstream side is damped, while reducing a water quantity, when introduced to the upper surface 10A of the raft body 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
