PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroforming roll as a roll original plate for electroforming for making a belt-like transferring die material used in the case patterns formed by fine ruggedness of the interference fringe of light (hologram), pictures or photographs are mass-produced at a high speed as the influence of clogging is evaded and to provide a method for producing the electroforming roll. SOLUTION: A coating layer 34 of a conductive ceramic or a conductive intermetallic compound is provided on the outermost circumferential surface of a roll 21 for electroforming which is provided with fine ruggedness on the surface and the adhesiveness of the electroformed belt-like transferring die material 20 to the surface the electroforming roll 21 is reduced by the coating layer 34 to improve the peeling property and to smoothly peel off the belt-like transferring die material. As a result, the patterns formed by fine ruggedness of the interference fringe of light (hologram), the pictures or the photographs are transferred to a body to be transferred using the belt-like transferring die material obtained by the electroforming roll having the clear fine ruggedness and excellent durability as the influence of clogging is evaded and are mass-produced at the high speed.
