PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appliance adapter and a communication control system which are flexibly adaptive to additional functions to be added by new appliance types while reducing the processing load on a household appliance side. SOLUTION: Only main functions of the household appliance are premounted on the appliance adapter. Additional functions of the household appliance are dynamically set when necessary. The household appliance when detecting a request to acquire an additional function from the appliance adapter transmits preheld additional function control information to the appliance adapter side.
