A recording device and the like are provided for enabling the record of a continuously good voice signal. A recording device can record a plurality of channels of voice signals by switching a plurality of kinds of microphones. A plurality of kinds of the microphones include a first microphone corresponding to the number of first channels and a second microphone corresponding to the number of second channels and one of either the first microphone or the second microphone is detachable. The recording device is provided with a signal processing unit that receives a plurality of channels of voice signals and records them on a recording medium and a changeover control unit that controls signal paths to send the signal processing unit the same number of channels of voice signals including at least one voice signal acquired from the second microphone as that of the first channels when detecting that a detachable microphone is set or removed during a recording period of the voice signal acquired by means of the first microphone. The signal processing unit records the same number of channels of voice signals as that of the first channels received through the signal paths.
