The box (10) has a rigid flap (12) connectable with a cabriolet vehicle in a swivelable manner and forming a side part of the box. A base part (14) is attached at the flap and is connectable with the vehicle, where the base part is made of a plane, foil-type material. A preloading unit (16) preloads the flap in a convertible soft top holding position of the box. A sensor (20) e.g. mechanical sensor, is provided for detecting the convertible soft top holding position of the box.
