The device has interfaces supplying measured data over parameters of an eye of a patient and defective vision data over a defective vision of the eye. A boundary surface is defined to limit a defined volume (18) within a cornea (5). A control data record for controlling a laser device is produced for the boundary surface and defines a three-dimensional sample of arrival points in the cornea. The points lie in the surface and are arranged, so that the surface is formed as anterior and posterior sectional surfaces (19, 20) after irradiation of a pulsed laser radiation based on the record. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method of preparing control data for a treatment device for operational defective vision correction of an eye of a patient (2) a computer program product with a program-code, which, when executed on a computer to implement a method of preparing control data for a treatment device for operational defective vision correction of an eye of a patient (3) a data medium with a computer program product.
