The umbrella (102) has a vertical column (108), a shielding surface (110), and a cooling device (104) for influencing micro-climate in an area (120) of the umbrella. Two fans (106) are arranged at the vertical column as the cooling devices, where the fans lie opposite to each other at opposite sides of the vertical column. The fans are arranged at the vertical column in an angle of about 120 to 240 degrees, preferably 180 degrees of main emitting directions to each other.
