An apparatus and a method for key mapping in a Bluetooth device are provided to map the function of an original AVRCP to a different function when there is no AVRCP(Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) controller supporting a specific function in the Bluetooth device, thereby enabling the function of the original AVRCP to be used as the different function. A method for key mapping in a Bluetooth device comprises the following steps of: receiving a control command to a remote controller(510); searching for a control command change table(520); performing a control command change process when the control command received in the remote controller is registered in the control command change table(530); and performing operation by the changed control command(550).
