A cyclopropene composition is provided to allow a cyclopropene composite to release cyclopropene when the composite is exposed to water or high-humidity atmosphere. A cyclopropene composition comprises: (a) at least one cyclopropene molecule encapsulant composite; and (b) at least one salt except calcium chloride, wherein the ratio of the salt to the cyclopropene molecule encapsulant composite is 0.03-500 on the dry weight basis. The cyclopropene composition (i) comprises 30 wt% or less of water based on the total weight of the composition, and contains at least one non-deliquescence salt; or (ii) comprises more than 30 wt% of water based on the total weight of the composition, and the ratio of the dry weight of the salt to the weight of water is 0.05 or higher. |
