<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus and a short circuit detection/power supply shutdown method which can detect short circuit faults of connection terminals in a simple configuration and recover short circuit faults with ease. <P>SOLUTION: When a connection terminal row 13 on the FPC8 is inserted crosswise into a connection terminal row 12 on a mother board 6, a first grounding connection terminal 13A on the FPC8 places a first detection connection terminal 12A and an adjacent first grounding connection terminal 12B in a conductive state in an area striding across those connection terminals, putting the first detection connection terminal 12A into a grounded state. With such an arrangement, Low level input signal is applied to a shutdown pin, which in turn stops operation of a DC/DC converter and power feeding from a first power supply connection terminal, thereby preventing short circuit faults caused by contact of the first power supply connection terminal with its adjacent signal terminals, grounding terminals and the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
