PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide furniture with an earthquake-resistant device which has good appearance by making the earthquake-resistant device or space be not viewed above furniture, and can achieve this by using original structure of the furniture, and to enable the space above the furniture to be conveniently used as another storage space. SOLUTION: The earthquake-resistant device 14 placed on the upper side of a furniture body 5 and space S<SB>1</SB>between the upper surface part 5a of the furniture body 5 and the ceiling part 4 of a furniture placement site 1 in a house are concealed by a part 11a of a door 11 which is formed larger above the upper surface part of the furniture body 5. This can be achieved by using the door 11 having an original structure of the furniture and the space S<SB>1</SB>can conveniently be used as the other storage space by opening/closing the door 11.
