PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining device for vehicles, which is capable of preventing decline in left and right synchronism by keeping the maximum adjustment angle of a seat back fixed at all times and smoothly adjusting the angle of the seat back. SOLUTION: The reclining device 1 for the vehicles is formed by interposing a reclining mechanism 4 between a fixed bracket 2 attached on the seat cushion side and a movable bracket 3 attached on the seat back side, interposing a return spring 10 between both brackets 2 and 3, providing return spring brackets (locking members) 5 and 6 for locking the end of the return spring 10 respectively on the fixed bracket 2 and the movable bracket 3, and providing a stopper means for restricting the turning amount of the movable bracket 3. In the reclining device 1 for the vehicles, an arm 3d and a stopper bracket 7 constituting the stopper means are constituted of members different from the return spring brackets 5 and 6.
