METHOD FOR DECODING A VIDEO SIGNAL, AND APPARATUS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE SAME

An apparatus and a method for decoding a video signal are provided to include disparity corresponding to each macro block in one slice layer, thereby performing motion compensation by using the disparity. Information about the number of macro blocks is extracted from a slice layer of a video signal(S110). Information about disparity is extracted by using the information about the number of macro blocks(S140). Disparity of a current macro block is obtained by using the disparity(S150). By using the disparity of the current macro block and a view ID(Identification) of a disparity map, motion compensation is performed(S160). The disparity includes disparities as much as a multiple of the number of macro blocks belonging to a current slices.
