<p>The self-belay set has two carabiners (K1,K2) hanged at belay point (2).The blocking devices of the two carabiners are coupled by a coupling unit (7). A belay unit is provided for the carabiners which prohibits the carabiners from opening during the hanging of a carabiner at the belay point by the blocking devices and during operation of the belay unit. The blocking devices of the carabiner are operated by the coupling units such that it is released for opening so that at all times only one of the carabiner is opened. An independent claim is also included for a system with belay points.</p> |
