<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying machine capable of surely storing two pieces of divided image data generated from image data of an original into an inexpensive page memory with small capacity using the page memory. <P>SOLUTION: When an image is printed on paper with the maximum printable size and when a data amount calculated based on reading magnification specified by a reading magnification specification part 71 and size of the original detected by an original detection sensor 5 exceeds the capacity of the page memory 6, image data equal to or less than the capacity of the page memory 6 is generated by reading only a part of the image of the original by the specified reading magnification. Thus, even when the inexpensive page memory 6 whose capacity is only less than two pages of the maximum size is adopted, the two pieces of divided image data to be generated are surely stored in the page memory 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
