<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a monitoring function by using a small memory capacity, related to an electronic thermal protection device which conducts protection, by deducing the temperature rise of a load which is operated by being fed with a current. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic thermal device 1 protects a load device 10 by detecting a current fed to the load device 10 and deducing the temperature rise in the load device 10, on the basis of a squared value of the current. The electronic thermal device comprises a first operation part which accumulates the current fed to the load device 10 for a first period RT by squaring the detection current value detected at each detection period t; a memory 3 which holds the accumulated value by the first operation part for a second period ST; a second operation part which accumulates the accumulated value held by the memory 3 for the second period ST; and an operation part 2, including the function as a comparison part which outputs an alarm signal, when the accumulated value by the second operation part exceeds an alarm set value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
