PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for shaping the structure of a decorative layer in which by using a special mold with a difference in specular glossiness made between a projection and a recess in press shaping, the feeling of wood grain or marble grain is expressed by the difference in specular glossiness, and the unevenness of a geometrical pattern is recognized visually and eminently and a method for producing the decorative plate thereof. SOLUTION: In the method for shaping the structure of the decorative layer, two resin-impregnated sheets are hot-pressed with the mold (an upper mold 111 and a lower mold 112) having a difference in specular glossiness of at least 6 in an index based on JIS Z8741 between a recess P and a projection Q. The press shaping is carried out so that the difference in specular glossiness between the projection and the recess of a press-shaped article 4 is at least 80% of the difference in specular glossiness of the mold 1.
