PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost of remodeling by adopting a drainage stack of an existing drainage system as it is to change the whole drainage system into a siphon drainage system and increase degree of freedom in layout when remodeling. SOLUTION: This existing drainage system is a grade drainage system connected with the drainage stack 1, a drain pipe 3 connected with water section appliances 2a, 2b on each floor and having grade, and a joining part joint 5B provided in the drainage stack 1 of the drain pipe 3. This drain pipe remodeling system is switched into the siphon drainage system when remodeling, a hanging-down part 13A of a siphon drain pipe 13 is connected with the joining part joint 5B on a floor at a story lower by one story, and the existing drainage stack 1 is reused as a drainage stack in the siphon drainage system after remodeling. 15 indicates the joining part joint for the siphon drainage system.
