PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition having improved heat aging resistance and brittle temperature of a vulcanized rubber while maintaining low gas permeability of a butyl rubber and/or halogenated butyl rubber. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component containing≥60 pts.wt. of a sulfur-vulcanizable butyl rubber and/or halogenated butyl rubber and (B) 0.1-10 pts.wt. of an organic sulfide compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R is a substituted or nonsubstituted 2-20C alkylene group or oxyalkylene group; n is a number of 1-20).
