PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for processing glass plates capable of shortening the ascending/descending distance of a suction pad by accurately ascending/descending the suction pad, and capable of transporting glass plates fast. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for processing glass plates includes: a supporting table 3a for carrying in glass plates; a supporting table 3b for forming cutting lines; a supporting table 3c for bending cracking; a supporting table 3d for grinding and a supporting table 3e for sending out; a cutting line forming means 4 as a processing means for processing a glass plate 2 supported by the supporting tables 3b, 3c and 3d respectively; a bending cracking means 5 and a grinding means 6; and a transporting means 7 for transporting the glass plate 2 on the supporting table 3a onto the supporting table 3b, the glass plate 2 on the supporting table 3b onto the supporting table 3c, the glass plate 2 on the supporting table 3c onto the supporting table 3d and the glass plate 2 on the supporting table 3d onto the supporting table 3e, respectively.
