PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure discharge lamp with an ultraviolet cut filter or a lighting fixture for damage prevention of a living thing or the like without need of ultraviolet rays or a part of blue light, deterioration prevention of paper, cloth, or the like, and luring of insects by cutting ultraviolet rays and light of a longer wavelength side. SOLUTION: In a high-pressure discharge lamp L2, by coating on a translucent glass base material surface an ultraviolet-ray cutting material having as a main body a component in which bismuth vanadate (BiVO<SB>4</SB>) particulates or titanium-based complex oxide particulates are added to zinc oxide (ZnO:In) particulates doped with indium (In), an ultraviolet cut coating F is formed, a cut rate of a wavelength 400 nm including the translucent glass base material which is an outer tube 11 is 90% or more, and visible light beams of wavelengths 400 to 475 nm are well absorbed.
