A sliding structure for a portable electronic device is provided to dispose the first magnet units so that arrangement directions of magnetic poles of the first magnet units can be parallel to a sliding direction, thereby reducing thickness of the first magnet units and guide units. The first slider member(110) has at least one guide unit(112). The second slider unit(120) has receiving units(122) for receiving the guide units to slide on the first slider member. The first magnet units(130) are disposed in the guide units, and wherein arrangement directions of magnetic poles are disposed to be parallel to a sliding direction. One pair of the second magnet units(141,142) is disposed in the receiving units to face each other at an interval of the first magnet units. The arrangement directions of each magnetic pole are vertical to the sliding direction, then arrangement types of the respective magnetic poles are disposed in opposition to each other.
