The device has a crushing device for crushing thermoplastic plastic material and an extruder (5), where the crushing device has a cylinder (1) with a supply opening and a cutter shaft. The extruder has an extruder screw (7) in a screw pipe (6) of the extruder and the cylinder is connected with the screw pipe by a connection opening (4). The connection opening is asymmetrically arranged and viewed in a rotation direction of the cutter shaft with respect to a plane (10), which lies in a rotation axis (2) of the shaft and in right angle to a rotation axis (8) of the extruder screw.
