<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll bearing which is excellent in the lubricating performance, has a low torque, and generates little heat even in the high-speed rotation. <P>SOLUTION: A deep groove ball bearing comprises an inner race 1 having a raceway surface 1a on the outer circumferential surface, an outer race 2 having a raceway surface 2a opposed to the raceway surface 1a of the inner race 1 on the inner circumferential surface, and a plurality of rolling elements 3 arranged between both raceway surfaces 1a, 2a so as to roll, wherein both raceway surfaces 1a, 2a and the rolling surface 3a of the rolling elements 3 are lubricated with lubricant L. The rolling elements 3 are made of ceramic, and at least one of the rolling surface 3a and both raceway surfaces 1a, 2a is treated by oil repellent treatment. By this oil repellent treatment, a contact angle θ of the surface treated by the oil repellent treatment with the lubricant L falls within the range from 50° to 160°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
