PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital control switching power supply which is suitable for high-speed response to sharp load changes. SOLUTION: In addition to the output of a PWM pulse signal of desired duty by normal digital signal processing, a transient change detection means, comprising a CR filter installed across an output inductor and window comparators, is provided in parallel; and when a sharp load change is detected, the PWM pulse signal of 0% duty or 100% duty is forcedly outputted, at sharp load decrease or sharp load increase, respectively.
