PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting apparatus and a light receiving apparatus which have simple structure and yet efficiently perform light transmission/reception with an optical fiber. SOLUTION: The light emitting apparatus include: a light emitting means 201 for emitting a signal light; a light receiving means 202 for receiving the signal light exited from an optical fiber 9; and a progressive lens 203 having a first optical face 203a that refracts in the optical axis direction the travelling direction of the signal light exited from the optical fiber 9 and that converges the signal light exited from the light emitting means 201 so that the focal point coincides with the end face of the optical fiber 9, a second optical face 203b that converges the signal light exited from the optical fiber so that the focal point aligns on the light receiving means, and a third optical face 203c that refracts in the optical axis direction the travelling direction of the signal light exited from the light emitting mens.
