<p>A method, system, device and set top box for displaying information of multiple channels on a same screen in the digital multimedia field, wherein, a frame processor combines multiple receiving media streams to a mosaic media stream according to the dividing areas of channels; a set top box receives users' commands for initiating a mosaic service, obtains the mosaic channel information by communicating with a intermediate server, requests the mosaic media stream from network according to the mosaic channel information, receives the mosaic media stream for network, and displays the content of the mosaic media stream by terminals. The media stream for implementing the mosaic services isn't multiple but single, so it needn't occupy much transmission source for the network whose transmission source increases with the increasing of the media streams. Further more, the set top box needn't decode multiple media streams simultaneously, thereby its complexity and cost are lower.</p> |
