An image display apparatus is provided to process stably signal transmission characteristics by shortening signal transmission lines between a controller and a driver. An image display apparatus includes an image display panel, a controller(140), a voltage falling unit(410), and a driver(130). The image display panel includes electrodes. The controller generates a first signal for displaying image signals from outside in the image display panel. The voltage falling unit including a first end receiving the first signal and a second end receiving a reference voltage from a voltage source, forms difference between the reference voltage supplied to the second end and the first signal supplied to the first end. The driver receives the first signal and the difference of voltage from the voltage falling unit, converts the received voltage into a digital logical signal, and forms a second signal for supplying the converted signal to the electrodes.
