A chair with a waist support combined with a head rest is provided to allow a user to utilize the head rest as the waist support as well by pulling the head rest down and fixing it to the back support. A chair comprises a head rest(54) mounted on a back rest(53). The head rest is designed to move in a vertical direction of the back rest by a lifting device, and is fixed to a desired position to serve as a waist support. The lifting device includes a slot(55) having stepped faces(55a) on both front sides, a block(57) moving along the stepped faces; a head rest shaft(58) on which the head rest is installed to be rotatable; and a connection part for adhering/releasing the block and an adhered board behind the back rest to/from the back rest so that the head rest shaft is fixed to any position of the slot, making the head rest function as the waist support as desired. Further, a projected support(55b) is formed at the top of the slot to prevent the head rest from drooping down. |
