<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing toner which suppresses the emission of a foul odor in heat fixation, does not cause problem on the foul odor, is excellent also in fixability and has a small particle diameter as an electrostatic latent image developing toner by a polymerization method and to provide an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: The electrostatic latent image developing toner consists essentially of a resin and a colorant. The volume average particle diameter of the toner is 3-8μm and the resin is obtained by emulsion polymerization or mini- emulsion polymerization using thioglycerol or at least one compound of the formula HS-R1-COOR2 as a chain transfer agent.</p> |
