A system for providing ring back tone and bell sound services by using single-mode spreading data communication in a mobile communication terminal and a method for providing the ring back tone and bell sound services are provided to receive and reproduce a sound source file which is spread in real time for the ring back tone, the bell sound, or music appreciation in the single-mode mobile communication terminal, thereby having no need to access a server through the wireless Internet, and select and download a sound source file. A method for providing ring back tone and bell sound services in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: receiving communication conditions from a sound source server and storing the communication conditions in a communication condition DB(Database)(S100); receiving first blocks of an individual sound source file from the sound source server and storing the first blocks in an internal memory(S200); determining the start position of sound source reproduction when events such as the reproduction of a ring back tone, a bell sound or a sound source occur in the mobile communication terminal(S300); extracting a corresponding sound source file block from the first blocks of the whole n sound source files stored in the internal memory(S400); receiving a separate spreading sound source block by separate IP(Internet Protocol) in real time in a broadcasting scheme or a multicasting scheme by using IPs allocated while a sound source file is currently reproducing(S500); performing the inverse-spreading process of the received spreading sound source blocks and restoring the processed received spreading sound source blocks to original sound source blocks(S600); and extracting and reproducing the blocks of a corresponding sound source file from the restored original sound source blocks continuously when the block reproduction of a currently reproducing sound source file is finished(S700).
