A dust collecting assembly for a vacuum cleaner is provided to remove impurities in the air effectively by installing first and second dust collecting units for collecting the impurities in the air filtered with inertia and centrifugal force doubly. A dust collecting assembly for a vacuum cleaner comprises a first dust collecting unit(100) separating impurities in the air by inertia, second dust collecting units(110), and a dust unit(120). The second dust collecting units secondarily separates the impurities in the air filtered by the first dust collecting unit by the centrifugal force. The dust unit connected to the first and second dust collecting units places the impurities. The air and the fine impurities discharged from the first dust collecting unit respectively flow into plural second dust collecting unit. The first dust collecting unit consists of a body(102) guiding flow of air and impurities, an impurity guiding pipe(104) guiding air and impurities to the outside, and an air guiding pipe(106) switching the flowing direction of air.
