Method and device for the control of a machine in a fabrication system

A method for controlling a processing or machining system with a number of machines (31-33) involves using a programmable controller (20) working in real-time. The controller controls the machines and transmits output data to a data server (10). Required data is sent back to the controller from the data server. The controller uses control commands in an object-orientated formulation and a corresponding framework. An Independent claim is made for a control device for machines in a processing system and a method for adjusting the settings of a programmable controller.
