METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING OF BROADCASTING SERVICE IN DIGITAL BROADCASTING SYSTEM

A method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving a service in a digital broadcasting system are provided to receive the selected service continuously when moving a user to another IP(Internet Protocol) platform. Different IP platforms(310,320) offer the mapping information(330) relating to the IP addresses by IP platforms in the same or similar service to a terminal. At the IP platform 1, the IP address 'h' is allocated to a service(311). At the IP platform 2, the IP address 'j' is allocated to a service(321). Because the services are the same or similar, IP address mapping information by IP platforms between the services is transmitted to the terminal. The terminal receives the mapping information and receives the desired service continuously at the changed IP platform by means of the mapping information although the IP platform is changed into another IP platform and vice versa.
