THE METHOD AND THE EQUIPMENT FOR OPTICAL FIBER INSTALLATION USING A VACCUM PUMP

An optical fiber arranging method and an apparatus using a vacuum pump are provided to reduce the loss of optical fibers by the influence of tensile force on the optical fiber by inserting the optical fiber by rotating an optical fiber drum at home. An optical fiber arranging apparatus arranges optical fibers in an ABF(Air Blown Fiber) tube(80) while disposing the ABF tube from the inside of the customer's home of an apartment house to a terminated rack of the ABF tube. The optical fiber arranging apparatus comprises an optical fiber retracting device for retracting the optical fiber into the ABF tube at the customer's home and an optical fiber drawing device(300) installed at the side of the rack where the underground ABF tube of the apartment house is terminated, in order to draw out the optical fiber. The optical fibers are arranged by making the inside of the ABF tube vacuum by using a vacuum pump(330) of the optical fiber drawing device.
