<p>The module (CAM) has a routing device connected to a serial input output device and a parallel bus such that an incoming and outgoing data transmitted serially in lines of the parallel bus are diverted to the serial input output device. A memory (M) is additionally connected to a bi-directional series extension bus (EXT) communicating with a host unit (STB) via the serial input output device. The routing device is formed of a set of switches controlled by a signal issued from a bi-directional control bus (CB) during communication between the module and the host unit.</p> |
