The headlight has an elliptic module with a front insert and a reflector (3) reflecting light emitted by a light source (2) towards a lens (4) placed inside a case. A cover plate (7) has a metallic base (15) near the source, and a tube (16), and encloses a space (5) situated between the reflector and lens. The base has fins (10-12) that interrupt the light from the source in a direction of the fins while authorizing air circulation.
