A method of building includes obtaining a floor plate 101 having a plurality of connectors 103, 104, 105, 106 for receiving a hollow brick to an upper surface. The floor plate 101 is fixed to a floor surface, preferably by a plurality of fasteners which are located through pre-defined holes. Hollow bricks are then connected to the connectors 103, 104, 105, 106 of the floor plate 101. A step of locating a top panel on one or more bricks may be included. The floor plate 101 may have means for receiving an alignment device and is preferably formed of a plastics material. |
