[Class 132 (iii)] A gun for projecting table tennis balls &c. with an audible report comprises a cup-like housing 10 which is adapted to locate a ball 28 and is provided with a screwed spigot 15 for connection to a bicycle or like pump 16. As shown, the open end of the housing is fitted with a rubber ring 27 the inner edge of which has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the ball 28 and is free to be deformed to receive the latter and, later, to release it when a sufficient air pressure is applied thereto. A compression spring 29 is located within the housing for initially maintaining the ball against its seat on the ring 27, and a washer 25 is disposed around the spigot 15 to seal the connection between the housing and pump.
