An organic light emitting diode and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to form a thin film having precision of an organic light emitting pattern and an even thickness by forming the organic light emitting pattern directly on a substrate without a patterning process. An organic light emitting diode includes a first electrode(101), an organic light emitting pattern(103), and a second electrode(105). The organic light emitting pattern includes quantum dots(104). The quantum dots, arranged on the first electrode, generate light. The second electrode is provided on the organic light emitting pattern. The quantum dots include a core and a shell. The core generates the light. The shell is formed on a surface of the core and protects the core. The core is made of cadmium selenide or indium phosphide. The shell is made of zinc sulfide or gallium nitride. |
