An optical module is provided to reduce non-uniformity in curing UV(Ultraviolet)-curable resin when combining a light receiving device or a light emitting device and a receptacle by using UV-curable resin. An optical module is composed of a device(200) equipped with a photoelectric element and a receptacle(300) for optically connecting the device and an optical fiber(400). The receptacle has a device holder(320) at one end. The front end of the device is fitted to the device holder and fixed by applying UV-curable resin(500). The device holder has a window region of relatively high-UV ray transmissivity dispersively arranged around the entire fitted part of the device. The window region of the device holder is a cut part recessed around the periphery of an aperture.
